For the large majority of homes this is the right box. It gives you the full high-definition channel line-up over satellite alone, so it keeps working during a broadband outage and needs nothing more than a power point and the dish. If you are replacing an old SD box, the jump in picture quality on a modern television is immediately obvious.
The Dhamaka route makes sense if you intend to stay subscribed for a while: instead of paying for the box you pay the pack value upfront and the amount is credited back into the account. It is the cheapest way into a new connection when the campaign is live — ask us to confirm current terms, because operator campaigns change without much notice.
Binge+ merges the set-top box and the streaming stick into one device, which is genuinely useful if your household currently juggles two remotes. It needs a home broadband connection of at least 4 Mbps to stream reliably — we check your speed during installation and will tell you honestly if the line is not up to it.
For most homes the HD box is the right answer — it covers every HD channel and needs no internet. Choose Binge+ if you want streaming apps and live TV on one remote, or if you have a 4K television you actually want to use.
An HD box is included free with most new connection packs, and free outright under the Dhamaka offer while that campaign runs. Binge+ carries an upgrade cost, which a live offer will often reduce. We confirm the exact amount before anything is installed.
You pay an upfront amount instead of buying the box, and that amount is credited back into your Tata Play account against your pack over the offer period. The box itself costs nothing. Terms are set by the operator and change from time to time, so ask us to confirm what is current.
